The vision and mission of CompRupt  is to create a competitive online environment where people with various backgrounds and expertise can compete to predict the next logical company to cease operations or file for bankruptcies.

Why is this so important?  Each one of us via our own experiences, friends and family as well as colleagues at work come across companies with shady business practices.  The purpose of this site is to expose these companies with definitive proof and share these with the rest of the world.  Exposing these companies will help our Small Businesses, our source for most of the employment in this country who may not have enough money to check the background of these companies and decide for themselves whether to do business with them.

Jiinga: Next generation Match kernel NOT Search kernel

The "Search" based kernel has been the tenet of the internet for a long time.  Take AltaVista, Yahoo, Google and the most recent Bing.

We anticipate "Match" based kernel to follow the antiquated "Search" based kernel.  This will be the next game changing paradigm.  "Match" is a semantically richer problem that has not been exploited and monetized – and hence has enormous potential.  We are working on this innovative infrastructure, "Match Kernel" or "Jiinga".  "Jiinga" or "Match Kernel" is the generic core Match platform with vertical applications leveraging the platform as well as offer inter-play possibilities.

Specific real-life vertical applications that matches based on the generic Match kernel (patent pending):

Renters to Landlords/Property Managers
Dating (Boy meets Girl etcetera)
eCommerce Buyers and Sellers

The business model lies in the application as much as it lies in the core platform – which is an incredibly powerful enterprise asset.  This sounds similar to “search” but with the subtle but important differences:

Search is primarily (though not necessarily) a synchronous exercise; while matching is primarily (again not necessarily) asynchronous (Pull vs. Push)

Match can be state-full while Search is stateless

A set of partial matches leading to a final match – –Match applies more to “Flow” – e.g. match happens on transaction flows – –Match usually has more complex predicates and operations

Match can have multiple dimensions – for e.g. temporal dimensions like sliding time-window, spatial dimensions like matches across a set of products

Standing or continuous queries applies more to Match use cases – –Fuzziness in Match is more complex (various gradients of incomplete or near match), as opposed to “search” that is more user directed and precise

Twitsdaq: We are studying "Influence" over the Twitter platform.  Twitter provides an early solution by tracking the number of followers.  With the proliferation of sites such as TwitterCounter, TweetAdder and others, followers can be bought.  Ideally, the environment of adding followers should be organic and based on the person's content (... and not a proxy Ghost writer's content).  We believe Influence is created when #Followers is more than the #Following.
